The Jordanian parliament on Tuesday approved a draft bill exempting the children of Jordanian women married to foreigners, as well as the Gaza Strip’s citizens living in Jordan, from having to obtain permits to work in the country.

This came after the parliament’s labour committee endorsed a proposal submitted by MPs Khalil Attieh and Yahya Al-Saud to exempt Gazans who reside in Jordan from obtaining work permits.

The committee noted that the draft bill came following coordination between the parliamentarians and the Jordanian Minister of Labor on the issue, El-Mamlakah TV’s news website reported.
