Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, the director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza, is suffering severe health decline during his detention in Israeli facilities. According to his lawyer, he has lost over 40 kg and is dealing with high blood pressure, an irregular heartbeat, vision issues, and multiple injuries—including fractured ribs—all while being denied proper medical care. He reportedly continues to endure solitary confinement, frequent beatings, and complete lack of sunlight or hygienic access. His eyeglasses were also broken and never replaced. These conditions constitute not only medical neglect but systematic psychological and physical harm.
