As Gaza’s healthcare system teeters on the brink of total collapse, the Gaza Ministry of Health issued an urgent plea to King Abdullah II of Jordan, imploring him to reopen and reactivate Jordanian field hospitals in both Gaza City and Khan Younis. This appeal comes amid an intensifying humanitarian catastrophe caused by relentless Israeli bombardment, a crippling blockade, and severe shortages in medical supplies, fuel, and personnel

Gaza’s primary hospitals are overwhelmed, with limited infrastructure, inadequate resources, and dangerously elevated patient numbers. In Khan Younis alone, a Jordanian field hospital has only 17 beds, yet nearly 1,000 patients are receiving care at the nearby Nasser Medical Complex
