West Bank Onslaught

Settler Violence Surges Across West Bank Communities

Communities across the occupied West Bank are witnessing a sharp escalation in violence by Israeli settlers, in a wave of attacks targeting homes, farmland, religious sites, and vehicles — fueling deep fears among Palestinians of a coordinated campaign to displace them from their lands.

Numerous overnight raids have been reported from towns stretching from Ramallah to Salfit, where settlers — often operating under the protective presence or silence of nearby Israeli troops — set fire to property, destroyed crops, looted livestock, and vandalized homes with racist slogans.

Farmers described incidents including theft of cattle, while in at least one village near Biddya, settlers set parts of a mosque ablaze, causing damage to its structure and furnishings before residents managed to extinguish the flames.

Humanitarian monitors warn that these attacks — increasingly frequent and widespread — amount to more than isolated incidents: they reflect an intensifying pattern of aggression that threatens the social and economic fabric of rural Palestinian communities.

With law enforcement largely absent or complicit, many locals fear that the violence will continue to escalate unless decisive action is taken to protect civilians and hold perpetrators accountable.
