The Israeli gunboats opened fire on Palestinian anglers' boats in the northern Gaza Strip on Thursday morning.
According to the Palestinian news agency Safa, the Israeli occupation forces chased the boats of anglers in the sea against the Sudanese, and fired on them, forcing them to retreat for fear of their lives and their boats.
Last Thursday, the occupation authorities extended the fishing area to only 6 miles in the distance between the northern maritime border and the Gaza port.
Palestinian anglers are subjected to almost daily violations by the Israeli occupation navy, which shoots at them and tries to sink their boats at sea and fight them for their livelihood.
In another security development, the Israeli occupation forces launched a campaign of arrests and raids throughout the occupied West Bank, during which seven Palestinians were arrested, including three former prisoners.
The occupation forces continue the policy of harassing the residents of the cities and various areas of the occupied West Bank through raids and daily arrests against them and the looting of their property and real estate.
