JERUSALEM - Christian churches in Jerusalem announced on Sunday that the Church of the Holy the Sepulchre would be closed until further notice in protest against the recent occupation measures against them.
The Israeli occupation issued directives and decisions that harmed the churches ,historical status and the Christian presence in the Holy Land.
The heads of the Christian churches protested against the intention of the Israeli ministerial committee to discuss a draft law which allowing to the entity to confiscate the lands which sold by the Orthodox churches and the Roman Catholic Church in Jerusalem since 2010.
It is noteworthy that this is the first time that the heads of churches in Jerusalem have taken this step since 1948.
